1. About us
Eraya Studios is a photography studio based in Sydney, NSW, Australia, specialising in newborn, maternity, cake-smash, wedding, weaning ceremony (pasni), and post-wedding portrait sessions. You can reach us at contact@erayastudios.com.
2. Booking a session
Sessions are booked via the enquiry form on this website. A booking is considered confirmed only after we email you confirmation and you have paid the deposit indicated for your chosen package.
- All prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable.
- A non-refundable deposit secures your date. The balance is due before or on the day of the session unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- Pricing on this website is current at the time of publication and may change for new bookings without notice.
3. Rescheduling and cancellation
We understand life happens. If you need to reschedule or cancel, please let us know as early as possible.
- Rescheduling: a session may be rescheduled once at no charge if you notify us at least 7 days before the original date, subject to our availability. Later changes may incur a rescheduling fee.
- Cancellation by you: the deposit is non-refundable. Any balance already paid above the deposit will be refunded.
- Cancellation by us: in the rare event we must cancel (illness, equipment failure, force majeure), you'll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no charge.
- Newborn sessions: we know babies set their own schedule — newborn shoots can be rescheduled flexibly within the first six weeks at no charge.
4. The session itself
You agree to arrive on time and prepared for your session as discussed during planning. We will direct, light, and capture the session to the best of our ability. The relaxed pace and number of setups are at our reasonable discretion within the agreed duration.
We are not responsible for the conduct of others present at the session, or for items brought to the session (props, outfits, jewellery). For child and newborn sessions, a parent or guardian must remain present at all times — we are not licensed childcare providers.
5. Photos, copyright, and how you can use them
Under Australian copyright law, copyright in all photographs and videos produced during your session remains with Eraya Studios. When we deliver your gallery, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, perpetual licence to:
- View, download, and print the delivered images for personal, non-commercial use;
- Share the images on personal social media accounts, with credit to Eraya Studios where possible;
- Reproduce the images for gifts to family and friends.
You agree not to:
- Sell, license, or sublicense the images to any third party (including stock libraries, publications, or commercial brands) without our written permission;
- Crop out or remove any visible watermark or signature, where present;
- Alter the images in a way that materially changes their character (heavy filters, AI manipulation), or pass altered versions off as our work.
6. Portfolio use and model release
Unless you tell us in writing before the session that you'd prefer otherwise, you grant Eraya Studios the right to use a selection of images from your session for our portfolio, social media, website, printed promotional material, and entries into photography awards. We will always treat your images with care and never licence them to third-party advertisers without your separate consent.
If you'd like a written opt-out from portfolio use, please email us before the session.
7. Delivery and your private gallery
- Edited photos are typically delivered within 7 to 14 days of the session via a private, password-protected online gallery hosted on this website.
- You'll receive an email when your gallery is ready. Sign in at erayastudios.com/login.php to view and download high-resolution files.
- Your gallery remains accessible for a minimum of 12 months from delivery. After this period we may archive or remove it; you are responsible for downloading and backing up your files.
- We retain the original RAW files for at least 60 days, but make no guarantee of long-term storage. Please back up your delivered files yourself.
8. Image selection and editing
We choose which photos from your session to edit and deliver based on technical quality and storytelling. Eraya Studios delivers an artistically edited gallery (colour grading, light balancing, gentle retouching). We do not deliver unedited RAW files, and we don't perform heavy body- or face-altering retouching unless specifically discussed at booking.
9. Payment
- Payment is accepted via the methods we indicate at booking (bank transfer, card, or other electronic means).
- Deposits are due at the time of booking; balances are due on or before the session day.
- Late payments may incur a 5% surcharge per week overdue. We may withhold delivery of the gallery until full payment is received.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by Australian law, Eraya Studios' total liability arising from any session or use of this website is limited to the amount you have paid us for that session. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for circumstances beyond our reasonable control (illness, severe weather, equipment failure, internet outages, government action).
Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Your account and the client area
If you register for an account on this website, you are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for any activity under your account. Please enable two-factor authentication at /client/security.php for added protection. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
12. Website use
You agree to use this website lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt, scrape, or gain unauthorised access to any part of it. All website content, including text, images, and design, is the property of Eraya Studios or its licensors and may not be reproduced without permission.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Continued use of the website or our services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of New South Wales.
